Steps to Renew Your Florida Notary Commission

  1. All renewing notaries are required to complete a State of Florida notary application to renew a notary commission.
  2. Select a notary package and any additional products you desire, then complete the checkout process.
  3. Print, sign and mail your completed notary forms to Troy Fain Insurance. We'll take care of the rest!

Tips for completing your application

  • Review the information on your notary application for accuracy and completeness. It is your responsibility to verify that your application is correct.
    • If a question does not apply to you, you may write "none."
    • Race, sex, social, date of birth and driver's license are all required.
  • Answer questions 1-8.
    • If you answer “NO” to questions 2 or 4, or "YES" to questions 3, 5, 6, 7 or 8, you must provide documentation or information specified in that question. Failure to provide all the documentation needed will result in delays.
  • Have an individual that has known you for at least 1 year and is unrelated to you, complete and sign the Affidavit of Character. The Affiant must sign at the BLUE X and complete their address where indicated. This section does NOT need to be notarized.
  • Sign and print your name at the RED X on the Oath of Office section, as outlined by the Secretary of State. Your notary seal will reflect your printed name.
  • If you are exempt from having your address available to the public, you may select “YES” and reference the statute in which your exemption follows under. If you are unsure of the Florida Statute, use the Public Records Exemption Request forms as guidance.
  • You must sign and print your name at the RED X on the Bond of Notary Public Form. We will complete the rest once it arrives in our office. This form does NOT need to be notarized.
